Position Description
Pioneer Technical Services is currently looking for a Project Engineer\Senior Engineer that will assist the Project Manager in the management and execution of major projects. The Position will operate under the guidance of a Senior Engineer\Project Manager depending on what classification the individual is hired in. At times they may act as a Project Manager on minor projects. This person must possess technical ability necessary to establish design standards and direct and oversee work performed by project staff and subcontractors. The position is responsible for the overall quality of project(s) and must communicate project needs, status and manpower requirements to the Project Manager. Candidate must have a valid Class D driver’s license. Construction oversight and contractor management experience is strongly desired but not required. This position may include extended amounts of Travel. Position 18-13
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, Field of Study: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

Experience: 5 plus years of experience in Engineering or Construction Management

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Access and AutoCAD are beneficial and required skills.

Other Requirement: Candidate must have passed the Engineering in Training Exam (EIT) and Professional Engineer (PE) desired but not required.

1. PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION
a. Position will establish, monitor, and report on production and quality assurance goals for project staff.
b. Develops a working climate in which personnel are motivated to perform to full potential.
c. Maintains an open-door policy regarding staff support.
d. Ensures effective and timely communications.

2.PROJECT AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
a. Participates in development of projects by: making client contacts, assisting in proposal preparation, and participates in proposal interviews and presentations.
b. Obtain and provide appropriate project information and client references for use in company marketing and proposal activities including project descriptions, project completion data, project photos, and letters of reference.
c. Keep personal data updated to reflect current experience, training, registration and professional areas of expertise.
d. Clearly and consistently explains project(s) to internal and external customers.

3. PROJECT EXECUTION – DESIGN PHASE
a. Manages specific segments of the projects assigned by the Project Manager.
b. Responsible for coordinating the work, developing the work plan, and leading the technical team for the part of the project assigned.
c. Prepares month end budgetary, schedule and personnel assignment reports.
d. Assist in identifying necessary personnel to complete a project, the level and skill of manpower required the estimated number of drawings to meet design, time involved, and project schedules
