Position Description
Pioneer Technical Services, Inc. (Pioneer) is currently looking to fill a Hydrogeological Engineer position in its Butte, Montana, office.
Are you a motivated mid-level hydrogeologist with a strong background in engineering and 6 to 10 years of experience? Do you want to work with efficient, talented teams to complete groundwater-related projects? If you are, you could fit in at Pioneer. The position responsibilities encompass all aspects of hydrogeology and engineering. This includes installing monitoring wells, collecting water levels and samples, analyzing and interpreting data, completing groundwater models, writing reports, and contributing to engineering designs, etc.
Minimally, the position requires that you have a bachelors’ degree in hydrogeology and/or related geosciences field, advanced experience working on projects related to the field of hydrology, and a minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience working in the field of hydrogeology or hydrogeological engineering.
Position Requirements
We prefer that you have a master’s degree in hydrogeological engineering and/or a Professional Engineering license.

Experience: 6 to 10 plus years of experience in consulting or practice

Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in using technology and computers relevant to the profession. This includes Microsoft Word and Excel and groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, Aqtesolv, GMS, etc.).

Other Requirements: In depth knowledge of traditional geology, hydrogeology, site investigation, cleanup processes, industry standards and corporate quality requirements, and a demonstrated ability to manage senior level professionals. Expertise in the desired disciplines, design standards, quality control, environmental regulations, and the ability to direct a team of professionals is imperative.
